STOWEY BROOKE HOUSE is an ideal base from which to explore the Quantock Hills and the West Somerset Coast. Situated in picturesque Castle Street in Nether Stowey, this Grade II listed 17th century house is criss-crossed with beams, charming bedrooms and a huge inglenook fireplace in the guest lounge.
We are members of the `Fine Breakfast` scheme and include locally produced sausages and bacon, freshly baked bread and croissants and scrambled egg with smoked salmon in our breakfast menu.
Good walks abound in the area and maps of recommended rambles to suit all abilities are provided. The poet Coleridge lived just around the corner - the cottage is now owned by the National trust and is open to the public (seasonally). Your hosts, Mark and Jackie have lived in the area for many years and will be pleased to assist and advise on the best places to visit - a warm welcome awaits.
